Program

Mentorship

A mentor who has already walked the path you are on is the fastest route to confidence. We pair participants with professionals from Hamilton and beyond.

What the program does

Program goals

Mentorship is about widening what you can imagine for yourself, then putting a plan and a person behind it.

  • Widen what participants can imagine for their own career
  • Build a trusted, consistent relationship with a mentor
  • Turn goals into a plan with regular check-ins
  • Connect participants with networks they would not otherwise reach
Free to join, and open to youths, young adults and newcomers in Hamilton.

The process

How it works

Three steps, repeated over the length of the program.

  1. A mentor and a participant mapping out a career plan

    Career exploration

We begin with what you enjoy, what you are good at, and what you want your life to look like in five years.

  2. A mentor shaking hands with a program participant

    Mentor pairing

You are matched with a mentor whose experience lines up with your direction, then you agree on goals together.

  3. A coaching session with notes and goals on the table

    Coaching & accountability

Regular check-ins keep the plan moving, and we adjust it as your priorities change.
